Macbook (White) No Sound From Internal Speakers

I used my external speakers last night, and after i unplugged them my internal speakers do not work. When i press the volume up and down button on the keyboard, the sound you hear when you go and down is not coming through. Ive used my external speakers before and this has never happened. Any help would be great!

Go to system preferences > sound > output

Make sure that internal speakers are selected.

Look in the headphone jack on your macbook, is it emitting a red light?

Happened to me once, also had the red light.


Try putting your jack in there (like form your headphones or something) and try and move it around in and out and side to side. Do it hard but obviously not too hard where your going to mess up your machine.

Yes. I have a red light coming from the headphone jack... This is a bummer.. Thanks for the help!
