Late-2007 SR MacBook

In the last 5 minutes my macbook has developed a problem where if I open the screen past around 93 degrees, the screen turns off. I have been needing to go to my local Apple Authorized Retailer anyway because it has chips all the way around the edge of the topcase and hairline cracks on the bottom, but I was wondering if anyone had this issue before or knew what was wrong.

Never had AppleCare but I'm curious why you think it's a logic board issue... The screen works perfectly except when opened too far, at which point the backlight turns off. So I was thinking more along the lines of backlight power cable or something...

...sorry, I miss read your post = probably just a lose connection from opening the screen too far...
