I've been using an external 21" widescreen monitor for two days now. Because I run it at the highest possible display, it runs at approx. 65C on average. I finally unhooked it today and opened the screen up and found the screen rubbing on the left side. Inspecting it further, the space on the left (between the screen and body) was smaller than the space on the right.
Because of this I've thought of switching to an iMac or a newer MB(P). Is there any way to prevent this warping? I've heard of cooling fans but they only lower the temperature by 3-5 degrees which probably won't be enough.
BTW, I find the the fans are only really working on the right side (or left, idk). When the fans are on very high, it seems like the air is only coming out of one side, not the other. Is this problematic? And on the far left and right at the back, those vents are functional, are they?
And I have it on some sort of stand btw
