I have owned a white MacBook since November of 07, and I love it. Sometimes, it misses a keystroke or two (lots of times on doubles, and on m's quite often). I used a MacBook Black recently, and the keyboard just felt infinitely better.

Keys felt easier to press, were softer on the fingers, and were overall more responsive.

Has anyone else noticed this? I've gone to our Apple store and typed on both side by side a few times now and noticed it on those as well. It's almost enough to make me want to sell my MB white and pick up a black

Bumping as I'm trying to find this out myself

Has anyone else noticed a difference? All the demo units I've seen have had shinier/slipperier keyboards on the blackbooks but it's hard to base a decision off of a demo unit. Then again, it may be all in my head :D

Anyone own both colours that can give us a comparison?

EDIT: Mods, this should probably be moved to the new MacBook forum

It's logical but I don't think that's it... if that were the case wouldn't the keys be shiny/soft in the middle of the keys only where they are getting the most contact? This is the entire key itself.

never base your decision on display units!

they're deceiving!
before, around jan of 2008 all the macbook displays have 2GB of RAM.
and you get your unit with just 1GB.
so my buddy was thinking he's new MBP was slow compared to the display.

That would explain a lot. Although I remember looking at the MacBooks and they had 2GB's. Some of the Pro's had 4GB's

Some stores take out the batteries and run them from the power adapters as well, presumably to make them seem lighter.

Back on topic, can anyone vouch for the difference in keyboards?
