I have the macbook listed in my sig running 10.5.2. The wifi is becoming particularly troublesome. It appears to be "scanning" for new networks constantly, during which time I cannot get pages to load. Is there any way I can get it to stop scanning, because this is most annoying. I have between two and three bars on the wifi.

I found disabling IPv6 solved this. Give it a shot (System Preferences > Network > AirPort > Advanced)
