When I plug in my Macbook into my Magsafe adapter the green light comes on and I can turn on my Macbook. But as soon as I unplug the adapter my computer shuts off. In the battery menu it says the batter is not charging. Can anyone help me? Thank you.

Try turning off your computer and restarting it plugged in, but when you press the button to turn it on, hold it down until you see the sleep light flash quickly. Unless you're a really intense battery user, your battery shouldn't be like this now.

I've tried this twice and it didn't work. Thank you for the quick reply though.
Any other ideas iToaster, others?

Can anyone help? Or should I just take it to the nearest apple store which is like an hour and a half away?

Apple told me to try that today when I called them. Didn't work. Thanks for trying to help though. They are going to send a replacement battery though.
