My MacBook's CD Drive will not read the CD Drive. Not sure what caused this to happen. I have tried everything.
When I insert a blank CD, the computer makes funny noises and then eventually pops the CD out. it will not recognize the CD drive at all. I'm just trying to figure out what my options are. I would like to avoid having it replaced and was wondering if there was an external CD drive/burner i could buy to fix the problem, that would work the same as the CD drive in the computer. Does that work?
I do not know anything about the hardware of computers and will not be able to replace it myself.
