Hi,

I am planning on getting a macbook, and I was wondering if this scenario is possible:

I plug my Macbook into my computer monitor with DVI, connect a wireless apple keyboard and mighty mouse via bluetooth, close the macbook and put it off the the side and use it like a desktop.

Can it be done? I read that for some reason you can only use the Macbook open? Is this true? Will I be able to use my monitor's full 1680x1050 resolution (I have an LG204wt)???

Thanks a lot!

This is possible. The MacBook can be closed (you'll probably want InsomniaX if you're going to be opening and closing the MacBook while it's attached to the external display). You can use your display's resolution, yes.

it is possible, but a nice laptop stand at the correct height, and you could have dual monitors if you wanted to keep it open
