MacBook With Samsung G7?

I'm looking to pick up a monitor for my daughter, and she's rather taken with a curved monitor. So I was looking at an MSI MAG301CR, but it seems the USB-C input doesn't provide any power. The only other one she likes, is the Samsung G7 ( which has the bonus of being 1440p ). I know it's a bit new, but has anyone experience of a MacBook with a G7?
