I received a Samsung SyncMaster XL2270 as a gift. I would like to use it as a desktop monitor for my macbook when at home, but the driver included with the monitor is not mac compatible.

Help?

A driver isn't usually needed for a monitor. Have you tried to connect it to your MacBook?

You shouldn't need a driver. I have used Samsung and now NEC monitors on my MBP. But you might need a mini-display to HDMI adaptor plug depending on the model macbook you have.

Once you get it going you might have to calibrate for the monitor but that's another topic.

Since the OPs running Tiger (10.4.11) they probably need a mini-DVI to either VGA or DVI or HDMI adapter or cable.
