So here's my story. Through a series of stupid modifications and unnecessary hard drive switches, my MacBook (late 2008 aluminum non-pro) is now OSless. I have what I thought was a bootable lion flash drive to install it, and my home folder backed up somewhere, but the flash drive won't boot. I can get to the apple with the spinning loading thing, but no farther. It switches to a circle with a line through it and keeps loading. Left it running for an hour till I gave up.

I have no access to a Mac to make a new installation flash drive. I also sold my Snow Leopard install disk on feebay a month ago.

Is there any way to make some sort of bootable snow leopard or lion flash drive from a PC? I bought the software in past from apple and don't feel like spending the money just to buy it again.
