macbook wont log in help!!

ok i install the new updates from apple it was the newst itunes and othere updates...now when it told me to restart it keeps telling me for my info like asstance set up like it was new it keeps on repeating after i fill the information and wouldnt log me on to my account i only have one account on it ..i put the restore cd but wont boot from it how do i fix this?

Have you tried holding down the c key with the os dvd in it?

ahh yeah thanks..but i did get it to work didnt need to restore it..i didnt have the plug on when i update thats why it did that..but yeah thanks
