Hi, my old Rev. A macbook running 10.4 can run my 40" Sony Bravia through the Mini-DVI to DVI adapter>HDMI at full rez and full 1080p sized picture. I just bought a new macbook yesterday and I am using the same exact setup, but the picture on the TV won't go full size!

There is about a 2" black space around the picture. I have tried downloading that custom resolution app, but I can't get 10.5 to go full 1080p.

Someone on apple forums had this same problem, but it hasn't been answered yet.

Thanks!

My TV settings are fine, my old macbook works perfectly with the exact same settings and apple adapter. Under Leopard there is an "overscan" option that's not under the display preference in 10.4; I think it is a problem with Leopard or something... I know others have had the issues with the Macbook and Sony Bravia.

It's Mini-DVI>Apple DVI adapter>6' HDMI cable.
