Macbook won't read cd

I've been burning powerpoint presentations onto cds and have currently done 4. I need to burn 20, yet for some odd reason all of a sudden my macbook isn't reading my blank cd's. They are all the same cds from a pack of 50, and the first 4 worked perfectly fine, but now none of them are being read on my macbook and they just get spat back out! whats going on!

Update: I put the recently successful burned disks back in and now my mac wont even read them!

I am having the same problem with Memorex cds

I am going to attempt to clan the drive but I dont even know if that will help

Looks like the laser is going bad
