Macbook won't recognize USB

Hey everyone,

so i plugged in my Blackberry today to put some songs on,
and it would not show up on my desktop as a removable drive,
i checked system profiler and my computer recognizes the drive, but it doesnt show up on my desktop or in a finder window etc.

Any Ideas?

My mac would also show memory sticks but WOULD show ipods...

Have you tried plugging in the BB in a different pc/mac? Does it detect it? If it does have you checked the USB port you plugged in your BB lately? Does it detect sticks/ipods ON THAT USB port? If it dosen't, could be logic board trouble.
