MacBook won't start up! Help Appreciated.

Hi All,

My 2yo MacBook won't start. When I press the power button it starts to boot but stalls on the blank, sky blue screen and won't proceed to the desktop. Any ideas?!

I would boot off your install DVD and use Disk Utility to verify the disk and permissions.

Duff-Man says....if booting from the install DVD and running the above-mentioned utilities does not resolve the issue, try booting into "safe mode" by holding the shift key immediately after you hear the startup sound....oh yeah!
