I posted earlier about this but i've had some changes so I'll reask.

Woke up this morning and my computer was frozen. I force shut it down and then when I tried to restart it it was stuck on the grey/blue start up screen. Eventually it came up with the apple symbol, and then with the spinning circle.

Tried a few things with no success. Eventually restarted with the original leopard disk and it attempted to reinstall leopard. It spent agesssss trying to find a drive to install it on, and i just went into disk utility and it's just been 'gathering disk information' for 15 minutes. Any advice?
