Wouldn't he just need a plug converter?
Aren't the power adapters useale in any country as long as you have the right plug on the end?

I bought my MacBook in California and use it in UK.

Don't need a new power adaptor, just the wall socket adaptor bit. I used ones from old iPod power adaptors, or you can buy a travel adaptor kit.

You'll save a bundle, so the additional cost of the adaptor is easily absorbed.

Cheers,
Nige
