I have a MacBook 2,1 that always turns itself on 10 seconds after I turn it off. I turn off the computer (click the shutdown button) and 10 seconds later the screen flashes and the computer boots itself up again. Even if the computer lid is shut the computer still does it. I thought it was a software or hard drive problem, so I installed a new SSD and restored the computer to its original state (full restart to a fresh start) (10.6.8)
To turn off the computer I have to remove the battery within the 10 seconds it is off before turning back on.
Besides that, this computer is running faster than ever and doing well.

Try resetting your SMC:

Shut down the computer.
Disconnect the MagSafe power adapter from the computer, if it's connected.
Remove the battery.
Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds.
Release the power button.
Reconnect the battery and MagSafe power adapter.
Press the power button to turn on the computer.
