Is it true that the new Macbook Pros blocks non-apple aps? ex if you have a second mobile phone that is not an Iphone - e.g. Samsung Note , then it will not run? What do you think? Also you wont be able to download apps that are not from the apple store?

It is indeed possible to download outside the app store. I keep my gatekeeper set on the mac app store and registered developer setting to prevent malware from auto installing. If I want to instal outside the app store, and from a unregistered developer that I trust, I can always right click on the app and select open. This bypasses gatekeeper and lets me instal the app.

Seems like a good safe/openness balance to me, try it:)
