MacBookPro Standby Battery Life since SSD Fitted

Hi - I recently fitted an SSD to my 2012 MacbookPro (runs great!) BUT since then my standby/sleep (closing the lid) battery life has been shot to hell. I'm assuming that for some reason power is still being drawn by the SSD but wanted to know if anyone else has had this problem?
