Macbook's for Chemical Engineering Students

Hi, I'm going to be attending Georgia Tech next year majoring in chemical engineering and I need to know if the macbook will have a strong enough graphics card. The guy at the campus computer store said that as much as he like macs, I needed to check if it would work for my specific major because engineering students can have problems with them sometimes. Some people have told me the graphics will be fine while others say that it just won't work well at some point. I really, really, want a macbook and I need some help with this.

It is rather hard to say without knowing the specific programs you will be using.

Email the department chair of your program and get a list of the programs you will be using and look up the requirements for them. If a laptop is required for the program, there should be a minimum hardware requirements list available either online or with your welcome packet.
