In Snow Leopard (10.6) there will be the ability to use GPUs for general work too. I am wandering how the 9400 video card will work with that (will be good enough for doing the job?)
 
Considering the only people who have used 10.6 are developers under NDA, I don't think anyone will know until it is released.
 
Interesting question. I'm just speculating here, but I'd assume dedicated video cards will give better performance. What do you guys think?

The GPUs in the MacBook Pro will make it perform better than the single GPU in the MacBook, yes. More power = faster.
 
I doubt the video cards will work together. Its probably going to be the same 'using one at a time' system we have now. But it should make a difference with everything, not just the new Macbooks but the older ones too.
