MacFreePop and Yahoo mail

I have spent a lot of time trying to get yahoo mail to work in macmail and
finally got it to work but I can not get MacFreePop to auto open on start up.
Any one else have an idea? When it opens a little screen pops up and would like 1 dollar donation do I need to pay this.
