well my gf the other day had to delete some files off her 1tb external drive. The problem is that the drive was formatted in ntfs format. So after some research I installed macfuse and its components to be able to read and write on the drive. After the installation everything worked fine.

Today however after organizing some files on the drive, she said that some of the files she had put away into certain folders have dissapeared. She said that after organizing those files she left her macbook plugged into the drive (lid closed) and went to school. upon returning she opened her laptop and got the error message that you get when you disconnect any storage devices without ejecting the drive. She also noticed that the usb cable connection from the external had come unplugged.

I know that on this drive that when you delete anything using the macfuse software that it only gives the option stating that any deletion will be done immediately. I was wondering is there a hidden folder or area of the drive that is being allocated for the deletions, or could her files been lost due to her not ejecting the drive carefully?
