Awesome.
I am new to Mac, and therefore Macheist, can someone explain the general idea of it?

Thanks

I haven't been a very active participant in the earlier MacHeists, but the idea is that during some time there are a number of "missions" during which you have to solve puzzles or such. And after each mission you receive something, free applications and a discount on the final Mac bundle for the main missions (this nanoMission that just started is "just" free apps and no discount).

Then at the end of all the missions the team behind MacHeist announce their bundle of 10 applications, which are severely reduced in price (like $49 for software worth several hundred dollars). The people that participated in the different missions also get to use their discounts so they get it even cheaper. Some of the money ($200,000 and $500,000 previous years) the team makes on the bundle sales has been given to charity.

So all in all, it's a bunch of fun missions/puzzles, and for solving them you get free applications and a discount on the final bundle (which is open for anyone to purchase)

Did one one figure out how to open the 1-2-3 lockbox ??

youll notice that the white "bars" move up and down, here's how to open the box:
first one down 1, second all the way up, third even, fourth all the way down

then you'll have to do 2 puzzle thingys to finish the mission - not hard just time consuming

stuck? macheist.com/forums for better explanation

ALSO
does anyone know how long the wait is usually between missions?
thanks

Just completed mission 1, and man it confused me.
I turned to the Backroom for help but everyone's posts seemed to confuse me more!!!

WTF? This is friggin' stupid. What happened to just bundling a bunch of apps and selling them at a great price? This is too much work.

You will get that at the end. The heists are for extra free apps for doing the work. You don't have to do the work at all. Plus, you can get them if you go to the forums and look around, people post what to do.

I bought a previous Macheist. Do I have to sign up again or do I log in with my previous one?

New Nano Mission for anyone that hasn't found out yet.

It's pretty fast, somewhat difficult, but all fun. And the free apps appear to be some of the most useful ones yet.
