My MBP has started acting strange again, I have had it for around 6 months after I installed everything I wanted it worked fine, then suddenly it would start not shutting down.

The cog screen would just go round and round and round. Apple tried to offer support, they told me to clear my chaches and application state folders. It then seemed to shut down again, but this was short lived.

So I reinstalled the OS and all the software, worked fine until this week, now it has started acting up again when it doens't want to shut down correctly.

Any suggestions? I don't want to have to reinstall the OS every so often.
