Machine name on network

I am new to Mac's and have been in the PC world for many years. I have done a search on here but have not found the answer. In my routers DHCP table the Mac's are showing up as New-Machine, where do I set the name of the computer so it will show up in DHCP?

System Preferences->Sharing->Computer Name

The computer name was set, still it is not showing up with that name on DHCP table on the router. Just shows New-Machine. All of the windows machines are showing up with their names.

I just had to force the DHCP renew and the machine name showed up.
