Hello all,
It's nice to be back on this site since its been awhile since I visited. I am hoping to get some expert help with a Macintosh 512k project that I been working on. I admit, this is my first time attempting to restore a classic Macintosh (but not my first time around computers in general). If someone can point me the right direction, I would appreciate it.
Here is my situation. When powering up the macintosh 512k, the system startup beeps (great sign!) would sound but the no image would come up. The only image I would get is a vertical hazy lines on the screen. I did the following troubleshooting
I will try to post pictures when I get home so you can get a better idea. Overall, the macintosh is in great shape inside and out. The only issue I see is some corrosion in the battery compartment.
I did try to search but didn't see anything related to my situation. I appreciate any help that you can.

- I had an extra Macintosh 512k so I swapped the CRT (discharging it) but got the same results. This tells me the CRT is not the problem
- The disk drive seems to work (takes a disk and auto ejects) so I put in a system disk and booted it up, same results
