So earlier I downloaded mavericks and was attempting to install it when I saw that the Macintosh HD disk was missing, and only my Time Machine backup was there (which it wouldn't let me install from). What is going on? I can install other programs onto this disk just fine, but it won't let me install Mavericks. I'm also a little worried that the Macintosh HD disk itself is missing. I've ticked "show in desktop" in the finder preferences but it is still not there. Please help!
