Macintosh HD to the Trash?

Ok, I have had my eMac for about 9 months, and I have always wanted to drag the HD to the Trash so it "ejects" (well not actually but I just want to see if a window pops up or something). What happens when you drag Macintosh HD (or whatever you have named it) to the Trash?

Ok, that makes sense now that I think about it. I figured that one could not acutally eject it, but I just did not want to have an issue. Thanks.

Actually my HD tried to eject, but after 30 seconds of tapping against the computer case decided to give up and stay put...
