Hello,
I have recently brought a new Apple Macbook Pro 13" with 500GB hard disk.

I am linux lover so I installed ubuntu on it through rEFIt by creating a separate partition but the wi-fi was not working in Ubuntu so I removed it.

In this process I deleted the 30GB partition which I had created for Linux on my mac from the disk utility and then in the partition manager I clicked on the - icon for that partition and I am really not sure whether it got merged with the Macintosh partition or not.

The disk utility is showing the size of macintosh partition as : 469.25 GB
and the avaliable space on this as 418 GB. Though when I click on the Toshiba harddisk on the left side i can see the total capacity as 500 GB

Can some one tell me whether I have lost my 30 GB partition or it got merged with Macintosh. I really doubt that I am using around 100 GB space if I have not lost 30 GB. I hardly have 5 GB of data on it till now.

I will wait for your reply.

I have upgraded it to 8gb rab. But I dnt think that matters...
