NO...and you ought to know that being a member since 2010! People here advise the use of Malwarebytes to get rid of it.
Go for it! MacKeeper is getting better with each version. And now it's at version 3!? That must mean something.

You already had your mind made up about MacKeeper and just wanted to disagree with everybody's advice. Are you just looking to stir the pot just because MacKeeper has an update?
No one needs or should intentionally install MacKeeper software of any kind. If you have, please request a refund.

MacKeeper offers nothing other than backdoor access for someone else.

Lastly, if it helps you sleep at night: $60 is a lot cheaper than a new mattress, go ahead and get it. But we have warned you... many times apparently.
I just wanted info on the new version and if it was or was not worth it. I am open as already a million have downloaded the new version.

The way MacKeeper is advertised cracks me up every time. I absolutely love how they highlight the logos of reputable news agencies on their website, making them appear as endorsements, while on the one hand some of the articles they link to explicitly point out that MacKeeper had a massive security breach a couple of years ago, and on the other hand some websites are merely community-based postings on these websites or are written by the company itself (e.g. IBTimes). They are not even ashamed about their poor advertising tactics, they know that most people won’t pay attention. They could make up their own certification mark to it and people would still buy it.

I wouldn't use this crap even if they would be paying me. This is one of the most annoying programs for macOS, always annoying an aggressive way of making them selfs noticed. No, hell no!

I would not say ripped off. Getting fat because you buy and eat ice cream is not getting ripped off, it's the consequence of an action.

Aka hell ****ing no. Mackeeper is the malware of the worst kind - The one that pretends to do really good things, but really does the opposite. Like, Santa Claus with drugs.
