Hi guys,

Firstly, apologies if this is not in the correct section.

I really could really do with your help, as I'm at my wits end.

I have a early 2011 MBP i5 and today I installed the trial version of Capture NX2 for uploading photos from my Nikon camera. It appeared to have installed okay, however, whenever I try downloading some apps using either Safari/Firefox it opens to that website but then it redirects to downloading MacKeeper. I have cleared the data on both browsers and also used Disk Doctor to also clear data. Unfortunately, both browsers seem to redirect and download the MacKeeper app, which I delete.

Any advice/resolution would be gratefully received.

Thanks in advance.

It sounds like you may have some adware, which can be removed by using this tool: AdwareMedic

AdwareMedic hasn't solved the problem, as it didn't find anything.

Hi,

I have the following:

1Password
Quidco
eBay

I just used Time Machine to restore and I think it's done the trick.
