MacMail Attachments from Windows Virtual Machine

I have just got a Macbook Pro laptop. It's all good so far except for using the MacMail. How does one get attachments out of the VMware Windows Virtual Machine drives and pin them to e-mails posted from MacMail?? I may need a Mac for dummies reference text!!
