Hello,

I have a MacMini 2010 with a Core2 Duo cpu which I only use it as a lossless music server connected to a TV screen just in case and a DAC to stream music to my stereo system.

The disk is a spinning one and, my guess, being so old it might soon pass away, I am using it very little cause there are to many glitches while playing music, I mean, too many sudden and inpredictable interruptions even tho I have no other active service running, just the music player, if I restart the computer and start playing it works well for a while then the interruptions start again.

I thought to give it a try and swap the old spinning disk with a cheap 500GB SSD but wondering if it is as difficult as with 2014 Minis, I did one and broke the front led and remote control because the connector on the board is so tiny it takes a microscope to figure it out... no big deal but won't want to break something similar on the music server as I use the remote to at least stop-play-skip.

Another question, does the 2010 Mini support internet recovery as to reinstall OS?

Thank you
