I'm not really sure what is happening. Apple's spec for my late 2006 machine says it has a comboDVD-ROM drive which I understood would support the provided DVD Player?

However the unit is now declaring itself as an CDRW unit and DVD Player throws out -70077 (no compatible video device) error when a DVD is inserted.

Have I got my head on back-to-front or has something gone wrong?

I don't think they ever offered a non-DVD drive in the Intel Mini. S/B either a Combo or Superdrive DL.

Did you just get it? Ever try a DVD before this?
