From what I've read, it sounds like the Mac Mini is capable of handling some HD editing. To give perspective, I'm editing standard def on a dual g4 1ghz with 1 gig of ram. I'm thinking that maybe I can use a Mac Mini and hold off on a bigger Mac Pro purchase for about a year...and that if I move into consumer High def, the mini will have the capability of holding me over (using FCE) for at least a little bit.

Any input? Thank you!

I haven't gotten that far yet. Is HDV more likely to be usable on the mini? Right now, I'm at the point where if I have a few apps open, the computer is typing a few words behind me. If I change a .5 sec transition, I have to wait a few a about 5 seconds for the computer to render it. Lasted me a long time though!
