am new to macrumors
planning to buy macmini with fusion drive after a lifetime of pc's(my children are AGHAST-i'm finally listening to them and am nolonger considered cognitively impaired)
will use macmini almost exclusively for music-streamimg MOG and storing on 1tb hdd 600+redbook cd's in flac, collection dvd-a's ripped via dvdaudio extractor to flac and sacd's(will be using PUREMUSIC as the "player") and for photo storage very few if any "documents"
will also do web searches, email and my electronic medical records from home from a cloud service compatible with macOS
apple web site extolls the fusion drive for SPEED esp for documents and photos
it says nothing about MUSIC either stored or streamed
many audiophile forums say ssd is BETTER for music listening streaming because its "quieter" and "sounds better"
will be sending the music via usb to a schiit(really thats the company name, look it up!) dac and headphone amp/from dac also to my avr to 7.1 speaker system(but will usually listen in 2.1 mode)
do you think the fusion drive is BEST way to go for what i want to do
any of you used macmini as i am planning to and what have been your experiences thanks bobbmd
