Hello,
I am about to purchase a MacMini M2/8/512 and I already own a Sonnet RackMac Mini enclosure, also I would like to add an hub to overcome the lack of enough USB/TB4 ports on the non-Pro model. I found the Satechi Mini hub could fit in the Sonnet case in the empty space next to the MacMini, typically I will have the Mini on the right side and the Satechi on the left side, both inside the Sonnet RackMac.
My plan is, thanks to the flat USB-C cable coming from the hub, to place the Satechi with all ports facing the rear (of course, the front has no accessible holes or frames) and the flat cable to the front, the cable iself would be turned upside then routed back for MacMini connection. Now, since the dimensions of the Satechi copy the ones of the Mini (except the height, of course) it should be a nice fit but my worries are about the flat cable: it would be squeezed between the hub case and the Sonnet metal case, the fact it comes out from the corner could help but I think a little trim on the top cover of the Satechi (to allow the cable to going out on top instead on the front) would avoid a too much sharp bend of the cable. To reach the MacMini ports I will connect a 20cm USB-C extension cable (male-female) and I should be good to go.
Has anyone tested this setup yet?

The Satechi Hub fitted nicely in the Sonnet RackMack Mini, no need to trim the top cover at all. I placed a 512 Gb SSD inside to use it as Time Machine disk.

The Sonnet has been placed in a 4U rack case along with an old Fusion Sonnet R400S storage connected to one TB4 port of the Mini via a IOgear TB3/eSATA/USB3 adapter. The final result can be seen below: I think I will not miss my beloved MacPro 2012 too much! ;)
