I have a very old mac mini with identity model macmini1,1 running OS X 10.6.8.

I have created a boot camp using boot camp assistant, but was not able to download windows support software. It always says Windows Support Software is not available.

So, fine, I check the radio button which says I will install using my existing disc.

In fact, I only have windows 7 on a usb drive. I have installed win 7 successfully on my macbook pro using the same usb drive with boot camp.

Clicked on continue in boot camp assistant, but it says it can't find my bootable usb drive which is plugged into my very old mac mini.

So, what do I need to do to install win7 from my usb drive? I don't have win7 on campact disc or DVD.

Here is the specification of my old mac mini:

Apple Mac Mini 1.83GHz, Intel Core Duo, 2GB RAM, 80GB.

The old Minis can't install Windows from a USB drive- they can't boot the installer from there.
