macOS 10.14.6 SU2 Crashed my MacPro

So the 10.14.6 SU2 crashed my MacPro, completed the download and restarted, got some way through the update then this!

Restoring from TM backup to before the update - anyone else experienced this issue and have any idea why this is happening?

UPDATE - so TM restore didn't work - showed up the folder with the question mark - so had to create a bootable USB and reinstall OS - all works again now
