I accepted the updates to macOS 11.6 and Safari 15 a couple of days ago, and I can report at least two bugs present after doing so.
1. When I double-click on a saved web page (.webarchive file) Safari should launch and display the saved web page. I used to do that every time until I accepted the updates. Now when I double-click the .webarchive icon an error message gets thrown up telling me that the file cannot be opened 'because it is from an unknown developer' (Apple is an unknown developer?)
The workaround is to right-click the icon and then choose 'Open'. This presents another error message, but this one does at least have the option of an 'Open' button to click on, which works and opens the saved web page. Thereafter, that particular .webarchive icon can be opened normally by double-clicking it, but any newly created ones will still have to be opened with the workaround.
I don't know whether it is the macOS update or the Safari update that causes this, but it is system-wide and not limited to my own user account, and it is present on both my Macs.
2. When I used to print anything, a picture of my printer appeared in the dock, with a red badge indicating how many jobs there were in its queue. Normally, when the jobs were all done the picture of the printer disappeared from the dock. (I believe it was called 'auto-quit'.)
But since I updated to macOS 11.6 the picture of the printer remains in my dock with a dot underneath it. Clicking on the dock picture opens a completely empty print queue finder window. I have to quit it manually, which I suppose is no big deal, except that it isn't behaving as it should do.
