Issues that stay in Untested for 3 releases (beta or smooth) will be removed from all future threads. When there is a new macOS release, please be sure to let us know about the issue's status by moving it to either "Remaining Issues" or "Resolved Issues"
  • macOS 14 Sonoma will be installed via a Delta Update in System Settings. Please be aware about this and the update won’t install with an installer.

Presenter Overlay (the green screen screen sharing webcam thing) is broken in this beta. It was working pretty great in the others. Sometimes buggy with the large option but for the most part working. This one gives blank avatar disabled on large with no way to exit unless you restart OBS. and the small option is zoomed in kinda strange. Bummer I really like that feature. Time to wait until the next beta.

DB5 on a M1 Max MBP when shut downed via finder pulldown menu reboots always. If you want to work around this, just hold down the Touch ID/power button during shutdown and not release it after it has shut down and you see the attached USB MagSafe 3 led blink. You can close the lid now.

I noticed after updating it for DB4 2nd update to DB5 with the lid closed it was repetitively making the notification audio sound.

I dont know if its just me or they really remove Find My widget for people you share your location with? I see only Items

Anyone get broken layout when resizing terminal window vertically?

Spotlight window is still missing border outline. Enable Siri Suggestions (yikes) or type something in and it's back...

Lost almost all the custom resolution sizes on my 2023 M2 16" MacBook Pro. Tried a hard reset and didn't help. All the other resolutions are missing from SwitchResX as well so it must be a system wide issue for me. Any suggestions?

Not seeing this problem either.

I am seeing this issue though, possibly related to me unplugging from a monitor lately that had bigger scaling. (This screenshot is in laptop mode, no external displays - MBP 14" M2Max):

I reported it using the Feedback tool. As a reminder, you need to report bugs you find to the Feedback tool so that they can be fixed. Please take the time to do it, it's not hard at all.

Mac Sonoma Beta 4 on Macbook Air M1
I start System Setting, the red icon is shown where there is an update to the Beta 5 version, I update the mac but when I restart the system it still shows the presence of the update to the Beta 5 version.
How can I fix it?

so far, here... business as usual.

is this the version you're seeing? (it should be, if the update worked) - 14.0 Beta (23A5312d)

HI,
I finally managed to update, I don't know how but I did.
The strange thing is that I also had the same problem when I tried Ventura always on an external disk.

Posted in the accessories thread but I think beta 5 has fixed the TouchID on my Magic Keyboard. Usually it would stop reading my finger after a short period and turning off/on or disconnecting/connecting bluetooth only fixed it briefly.
I'd had to turn it off for all options except ApplePay and flick the bluetooth off & on just before buying something for it to work.

Just randomly tried it and it worked! Would definitely not be working without the above short term fix, so I'm guessing there is a fix in beta 5. Will be chuffed if it is indeed sorted for good.

Seeing derpy behavior in the password text field when unlocking my Mac with my rather long password.

Other than that, this seems like a solid update!

Are some new Sonoma themed dynamic wallpaper and graphics (not photo) screen saver included already? When I tried one of the first betas there was only static Sonoma wallpaper available, IIRC.

Beta 5 users ideally with M1 Pro or max MBP, can you connect MagSafe and shutdown then close the lid while charging and see if you get a persistent charging notification. I’m getting every 5 seconds a charging sound and the orange indicator going on and off

Has anybody tried connecting their hearing devices under the Accessibility menu yet and if it’s functioning?

Not yet. The dynamic wallpaper usually come in Beta 10 with the screen saver coming in Beta 11.
