When typing a message in AppleMail of OS 15.5 it starts to make suggestions what next words should follow, which stops my writing flow, you can't type while the suggestions are showing. I hate this because it's always (!) wrong. I searched but didn't find any way to turn this off for good.

Where is the toggle, please?
Thanks

Perhaps:
System Settings.../Keyboard/Text Input: Input Source --> Edit...
--> Show inline predictive text --> turn off

(might take a look at the other settings as well)

Thanks so much.
By the way, "predictive text" was not active, but "Show suggested replies" was and these were the culprit.
Very helpful!

Okay, thanks. It's so-called I (ntelligence). Just not intelligent enough for most of us.

Even if it was "perfect" I do not want a computer taking over my writing. That's a skill I'd like to retain instead of letting it atrophy, thanks very much.

I agree absolutely. Unfortunately it will still get much worse in the not so far future.
