I realize some users like this option. I am finding this Drag to Tile option very painful. I cannot resize and/or move windows to where I want them. I have tried disabling this Drag to Tile in settings as recommended in support documents and other sources, but that does not disable it. Any other ideas or help for this?

Agree with all of you above. It drives me bonkers that I can't place the windows where I want them to be, and there seems to be no functional way to switch the tiling functionality off. Disabling those toggles in settings does not make any difference on my machine.

I have discovered the fix for this issue, at least for my system:
-I have a 2021 Mac Book Pro M1
-Running Sequoia 15.0.1
-I have a Dell U4025QW monitor

-While on a recent trip out-of-town using my MacBook Pro not using the Dell monitor, the drag-to-tile could be shut off as per the Tech Support references in Settings -> Desktop and Dock that johnb 1968 highlighted above
-On return home I discovered that there was a monitor firmware update for MacOS from Dell dated 10/21/2024
-Downloading and installing this firmware update as well as the DDPM fixed the issue

Works fine now

That you Dell
