Wow!

macOS apps can now render 3D scenes directly on Apple Vision Pro, hinting at a tethered headset (RemoteImmersiveSpace)

Hopefully, with the option of a wired connection via USB as well (no batteries needed!!!).

It does make a lot of sense, at least to me. I’d never want the weight of the battery on the device. So if it’s going to have a cord you might as well offload the processing too. Not that I’m a hardware engineer.
 
I hope they lower the price of the 'Developer Strap' and let us use our first gen Vision Pro tethered eventually.
 
I use my Vision Pro with my MBP 99% of the time. For me, it's a work device, not an entertainment device, and my work is all on the MBP. So having it tethered would be fine.

Not sure I'm a typical user, though.
