My MacBook Air is showing me this message under the Progress bar
This Update will take several minutes to complete and the screen will turn off for up to a minute.

Do I need to wait for it to update or shall restart my MacBook Air?

From what I remember, that's a BridgeOS update message. Just leave it be and don't turn it off.

Always wait for the update to restart the Mac for you. Restarting your Mac while it's updating can completely brick your computer.
