Seeing as MacOS 26 has messed up our beloved Safari, the question arises - are other browsers that are not tailored for macOS worse for battery life?

I've seen this claim made over and over, and then also disproven by some. Do browsers like Firefox or Edge really eat up significantly more battery than Safari due to not being specifically suited for the Apple ecosystem?

I use Firefox [ESR] all day long and battery life is fine. Maybe it would be a little better with Safari, but Firefox certainly isn't a "battery eater".
