Hello,
I have a MacBook Air M2 and connected my Samsung LC49RG94SSRXZG as an external monitor via an Anker 565 USB-C hub and via DisplayPort. macOS 13 only recognized the full 5120x1440 resolution monitor after I disabled FreeSync in the monitor menu and lowered the refresh rate from 120Hz to 100Hz. Side question: Is macOS incompatible with FreeSync, or why do you have to disable it on the screen? Otherwise, macOS displays the resolution 5120 x 1440, but with the addition "low resolution".
My real question is regarding the color profile. Here the colors are unfortunately very pale with the suggested colour profile named like the monitor model C49RG9x and unfortunately not perfect with the "General RGB profile". Unfortunately, I can't do it any better with my own profile. Does anyone have any tips on how best to set the colors for macOS on this monitor model? Or is there a good profile for my model available to download?
